Here at Precision Acura of Princeton we are always looking for ways to help our customers maximize their budget. That’s why we are excited to talk about the available tax benefits and incentive programs for the 2024 ZDX.
Federal EV Tax Credit
At this time, purchasing the 2024 ZDX means that you could be eligible for up to a $7,500 federal tax credit1. The good news is that two of the main factors are easy for most Princeton shoppers to meet. One of those is using the ZDX for personal use, primarily within the U.S. This simply means that in order to qualify for the tax credit you cannot use the ZDX for your business or to resale it and the majority of your driving must be within the United States. The second requirement has to do with your modified adjusted gross income, which must be under $300,000 for married couples filing jointly, $225,000 for heads of household, and under $150,000 for all other filters. There are some additional factors that will affect eligibility and the exact amount of the credit, so you’ll want to review those details on the IRS website or contact your tax advisor. Our team here at Precision Acura can also assist with answering any questions you may have about getting the credit applied to the cost of the vehicle at purchase2.
New Jersey Incentives and Rebates
As a New Jersey resident, there are also several valuable incentives you are eligible to receive while driving the 2024 Acura ZDX. These incentives are subject to change, but can include an exemption from half of the sales and use tax on the purchase or lease of the ZDX3 as well as up to a $250 rebate towards the installation of an at-home charger station for your vehicle through the Charge Up New Jersey4. Many customers are concerned about an increase in their electrical bill with at-home charging, which is why PSE&G are offering qualified residents a discounted rate for charging at off-peak hours5 and a possible bill credit of up to $1,500 per charger for at-home installation6.
HOV Lane and Toll Discounts
Did you know that driving an EV like the ZDX can save you time and money when driving on the highway around the East Coast? Cruise through traffic in the HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lane between Interchange 11 and Interchange 14 on the New Jersey Turnpike even if you are traveling solo. You can often also qualify for HOV lane access in other states, so don’t hesitate to research if you’re planning a trip through Pennsylvania, Maryland, or Washington DC. Thanks to the New Jersey Plug-In Electric Vehicle Toll Discount Program you can enroll in the Green Pass Discount Plan to get a discounted toll rate along both the Garden State Parkway and the New Jersey Turnpike. All of these benefits can add up to significant savings that make owning the Acura ZDX easy on your wallet as well as being good for the environment!
