Is the best price given over the Internet necessarily the best deal over the Internet?

Many people when shopping for a vehicle look at price alone to determine who has the best deal. Whether shopping for the same make or different makes, initial price should only be a small part of your buying decision.
When shopping for same make dealerships there are many options to consider other than best Internet Price. For example, what is the reputation of the dealership? A great place to read about your dealership of choice is at www.dealerrater.com where consumers like yourself rate the different dealership experiences they've had. This also is a great place to look if shopping for different makes.
Another thing to look at if shopping same make dealerships online is what is the "total price" as opposed to the "Internet Price"? You might think they are one and the same but they are not. Many dealers give what appears to be a very low "Internet Price" but then tack on Destination Charges and very high Doc. Fees to bring the price up to more than the other dealers you were shopping so be weary of "Internet Prices" that are too low. As an example all our "ePrices" (What we call our "Internet Prices") include destination. Our doc fee is only $189 where some dealers charge as much as $599.
When shopping for different make dealerships all the reasons listed above also apply but others also come into play. For example if you are shopping different luxury brands for purchase remember that Acura has the highest resale value of any Luxury Brand. What that means to you is that if ABC Make sells for the same, or even less, than an Acura the Acura will be worth more when it comes time to sell it and your total value would end up being better on the Acura.
Most importantly when shopping different make vehicles is the Test Drive! All the low prices in the world can't make you happy if the ride, feel, and comfort in your new vehicle is not everything you expected so whether you choose an Acura, or not, make sure you make the time to drive each one before making your decision.
